Tokyo Electric provided the data to construct the below map. The map shows the deposition of Cesium 137 during the first 25 days of the accident. The Japanese government and TEPCO have a history of downplaying the data. In the future don't be surprised if the real numbers are far worse.

The Chernobyl meltdown

The Soviet government made the following announcement two days after the accident.

"There has been an accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. One of the nuclear reactors was damaged. The effects of the accident are being remedied. Assistance has been provided for any affected people. An investigative commission has been set up."

Below is a link to Russian film maker Vladimir Shevchenko's final film. Notice how the troops were not informed of the dangers. Many didn't even wear their surgical mask's as they mined a tunnel under the monster. Scevchenko received a lethal dose of radiation while filming on the roof of the power station. His cameras became so incredibly radioactive, they were buried with him. Schevchenko, the soldier's, and all who suffered to bring the reactor under control were true hero's.

Arnie Gunderson gives his analysis on the new Westinghouse-Toshiba AP 1000 reactor. This design has several problems associated with it. In the video below Gunderson explains 6 areas where the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission has blatantly ignored the lessons of Fukushima. Currently, several of these designs are being proposed in the United States, including Georgia and South Carolina.

Radioactive rain

We've been measuring the radioactivity in rain water in Illinois. We discovered possible evidence the radiation may not be local radon progeny. We conducted two rain sample test's on 11-26-11. More rain test's will be conducted on this issue. You can watch our test here

The video "radioactive rain pt10" is a sum up video of "radioactive rain pt7, pt8, pt9.

The graph below shows the results of the test. The first rain sample was tested at 3:10pm(15:10). The second sample was tested at 7:45pm(19:45). This was from the same rain storm. The jet stream moved over our area after the first wipe. The half life is short, this fact may indicate radon, but the jet stream seemed to influence the radioactivity.

Radioactive salt substitute
On January 4, 2012 we tested 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 grams) of potassium salt. Potassium is naturally radioactive. We performed this test to prove the graph software and geiger are capable of detecting
contamination. Below you will see two graphs. The first graph displays 3 hours of data. The potassium was placed in front of the counter at 13:05hrs. The data to the left of 13:05hrs is background radiation, to the right is the potassium sample. The second graph displays 900 minute's of data. The spike on the far right side of the graph is the potassium sample. As you can clearly see, the graph gives us the ability to visually see radiation. Furthermore, the equipment should be able to detect radiation in smaller quantities than those in the potassium.

On December 25, 2011 we tested a can of wild Alaskan pink salmon. The graph displays 3 hours of data. The salmon was placed in front of the geiger counter at 10:17pm (22:17hrs). The data to the left is background, to the right is the salmon.

On January 9, 2012 we tested some instant noodles. The noodles were placed in front of the geiger counter at 11:45am. The graph below displays 3 hours of data. The data to the left of 11:45am is background radiation, to the right, the noodles.

On December 19, 2011 we tested a piece of pizza from a popular franchise. The graph below displays 3 hours of data. We placed the pizza sample in front of the geiger counter at 10:34pm (22:34hrs). The data to the left of the graph is background radiation, to the right is the pizza sample.

On December 13, 2011 we tested a piece of fried chicken from a popular franchise. The graph below shows the results of that test. The graph display's 3 hours of data. The chicken sample was placed in front of the geiger counter at 6:31pm(18:31hrs). The data to the left of 18:31 is background radiation, to the right is the chicken sample.

On December 7, 2011 we tested some sour cream & onion potato chips purchased from the local gas station. The potato chip test was conducted over a three hour period. The graph below shows 3 hours of data. The chips were placed in front of the geiger counter at 3:55pm(15:55hrs). The 90 min on the left is background radiation, to the right is the potato chip run. Overall the graph seems to be consistent, but the 20 count line does appear to show more graph spikes on the right side.

On December 2, 2011 we tested a cheeseburger from the local fast food restaurant. The cheeseburger test is shown below. We put the cheeseburger in front of the geiger counter at 5:17pm(17:17hrs). The data to the left is background radiation, to the right is the cheeseburger.

December 4, 2011 we performed a taco test. The taco was purchased from a popular franchise. The taco was placed in front of the geiger counter at 8:06pm(20:06hrs). The graph shows 3 hours of data. The data on the left side is background radiation, on the right is the taco test.

On December 19, 2011 we performed our routine monthly milk sample test. The graph below shows the results of that test. The graph displays 6 hours of data. The milk sample was placed in front of the geiger counter at 3:28pm(15:28hrs). The data to the left is background radiation, to the right is the milk sample.

Decenber 9, 2011 baby food test
On December 9, 2011 we performed our monthly baby food test. The graphs below show the results of the test. The first graph displays 3 hours of data. We placed the baby food in front of the geiger counter at 1:40pm(13:40hrs). The data to the left of 1:40pm is background radiation, to the right is the baby food sample. The second graph show's 20 hours of data. To the far right of the graph is the baby food sample. The third graph is a rain sample collected on November 16, 2011. We showed this graph so everyone can see what a radioactive spike looks like.

November 2011, mushroom test
On November 28, 2011 we tested portabella mushrooms for radioactive contamination. Keep in mind the test was conducted with a halogen-quenched uncompensated GM with a thin mica window 1.5-2.0 mg/cm2. This type of geiger is not sensitive enough to detect low level contamination, but will detect high levels of contamination. Furthermore, the mushroom was not dehydrated, which would further limit the radioactivity detected. The graph below shows the results of the test. The mushroom sample was placed in front of the geiger counter at 8pm (2000hrs). The data to the left of 8pm is background radiation, to the right is the mushroom sample.

November 2011 milk test

We decided to perform a monthly milk test. Strontium 90 and other radionuclide's will end up in the milk of cows. The cows will graze in a field and eat contamination on the vegetation. The contamination will then concentrate in the milk.

After testing the milk We decided to perform a simmered milk test. We were not convinced the milk was uncontaminated after the first test. We simmered a half gallon of milk down into a paste and tested it. Below is the data from the simmered milk test. The graph shows 3 hours of data. The 90 minutes on the left is background, on the right is the milk sample.

On December 3,2011 I tested some dry dog food. The dog food test is displayed on the graph below. The graph shows 3 hours of data.
